Matir Asurim- and Brachos

 How do I make a Bracha?

Yesterday was my birthday and  I realized in order to give Brachos to people I have to know what they need .  And  to know what they want and need I need Hashem’s help. 


But then I turned to a class in which Rabbi Weinberg illuminated to me; the fact that we make so many brachot every day to Hashem,  at least 100 hopefully and he asked if I ever stop to think about whether Hashem needs a Bracha? 


I do think He wants our Brachos. 


And In fact I think he needs our Brachos because Esther Hamalka davens to HaShem and says “V’Ata Yoshev Tehillos”.  The whole purpose of our existence is to daven. And Brachos is a Tefillah! Therefore, I would say that He does want our brachos and He needs our Brachos!


So then, Rabbi Weinberg, poses this question:

Have we thought about why Hashem wants this Bracha?

Why does Hashem want or need us to make this Bracha?


“Well, this Bracha includes our ability to move our spine and be flexible.

.

We sit,  we stand,  we bow, we move our spine and all these parts happen when we daven, when we do our Avodah to Hashem, our purpose!


Actually it is as if we are dancing with HaShem, and if we can daven this way, we can daven and relate to Hashem on such an intense level!


Maybe this bracha is actually a bracha for the entire Briah to dance with Hashem.”. (Rabbi Weinberg)


Perhaps this Bracha is a ticket to a life of Ashrei , of Life as described by Dovid Hamelech in the first chapter of Tehillim; וְֽהָיָ֗ה כְּעֵץ֮ שָׁת֪וּל עַֽל־פַּלְגֵ֫י מָ֥יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר פִּרְי֨וֹ ׀ יִתֵּ֬ן בְּעִתּ֗וֹ וְעָלֵ֥הוּ לֹֽא־יִבּ֑וֹל וְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה יַצְלִֽיחַ

Creation

 All was destroyed during the month of Av. Creation began on Elul, and, so it will again. We recite this prayer for the New Month focusing on Creation. “God created the world in order to do good to an other (Derech Hashem 1:2:1).” Creation was an expression of absolute love, the “other” had done nothing to earn it. This is why Elul, the month of Creation is also the month of intense love between God and Israel. I recite this prayer imaging myself participating in the final Heavenly planning meetings before Creation. I am not praying as one who has already existed and experienced success and failure, but as one who has the opportunity to see the world before Creation, and request in this moment of intense love all that I could possibly need and want. I use this prayer to prepare for all my Elul prayers until the 25th of the month when Creation began. For what shall I ask? What will I need to succeed? How will I define success?
