You can bring Rain!

Learn Torah with me,  says Hashem, the way you love a woman. That's the way!  And you can do anything you want!  You can pray for anything you want!  You can ask for anything.  You can bring rain , you can bring Parnassa (Sustenance) , you can bring healing as per the Tanei D'vei Eliyahu Rabba (18:2).* By: Rabbi Simcha Weinberg, n''y * וכיון שלומד את התורה And since this person described learns Torah with the same love you have for a spouse. הרי זה מביא טובה לעולם ויכול הוא לבקש רחמים ולהתפלל לפני הקב"ה This kind of love brings good to the world and he is able to seek compassion, and mercy in his prayers before Hakadosh Baruch Hu (The Holy One Blessed be He)!  ויפקפק את הרקיע  And he can cause the Heavens to open up.  ויביא מטר לעולם And bring forth Parnassa (sustenance) to the world.   Tanei D'vei Eliyahu Rabba (18:2)

He cares for our money

♦ Who turns the rock into a pond of water, the flint into a flowing mountain.             Psalms 114:8               When the Jews in the desert demanded water to drink, God created the miracle of water flowing from a rock that sufficed not only for them but for their animals as well ( Menachot 76b).             As we begin the month of Elul, the month of intense expression of God’s love for us and our love for Him, we celebrate the fact that He cares even for our money and possessions. No detail of our lives escapes His attention and concern.  By: Rabbi Simcha Weinberg

A life of sustenance

We acknowledge that we ate Your Manna and drank Your water from the rock even as we were rebelling against You with the Golden Calf. We disconnected from the Source of our sustenance. Please grant us an Elul in which we are constantly attuned to You as the Source of all our sustenance By Rabbi Simcha Weinberg

Bareich Aleinu

Bareich Aleinu: Abundance Written by: Machberes Avodas Hashem The Ropshitzer was told that his master, the Rimanover, blessed a man, and that the man was becoming richer every day. He inquired why this man deserved to receive a blessing of such magnitude. The Rimanover replied, "I merely blessed him that he might enjoy a comfortable living. But the man gives away so much to charity that his fortune must be increased abundantly by Heaven, so that he may have sufficient for his personal comforts." (Ohel Naftali, page 35) "Bless this year for us, God, our Lord, and all its types of produce for good. Grant blessing on the face of the earth, and from its goodness satisfy us, blessing our year as the best of years." I often wonder how we can recite this prayer on Tisha B’Av, when Jerusalem was destroyed, we were sent into exile, and we had lost everything. Perhaps if we can say that we use the little we have to give to others, which is something that we have witnessed dur...

Rain and Dew..

There is a difference between praying  to Hashem to provide income  or praying for your income to be protected. The Gmarra in Taynis equates parnassa with " G'shamim " (rains). It says the key to Parnassa that is in the Hands of Kavyachol is synonymous with the key for Rain.  There are differences in Halacha in how one prays for dew. Dew  is not considered something as necessary for growth as is rain,  matar. The reason that Nusach Sfard says “ Morid Hatal” is because in the summer, the sun in Eretz Yisroel , is very intense. When the sun is that intense, it can literally burn up the fruit that have already grown, especially the fruit that's not in the shade. When there's dew that surrounds the grapes, it protects the grapes from being burnt up by the sun because it takes dew long to evaporate a so the grapes are being warmed, but they're not being burned, since that layer of dew is protecting them. Ashkenazim do not have a special " bakasha ...

The Bracha of Parnassa

Is there any  Shabbos Tefilla I could use  for Parnassa? לכה דודי   לקראת שבת לכו ונלכה    Liqrat Shabbat lekhu v'nelekhah כי היא מקור הברכה    ki hi m'qor haberakhah For She is the Source of The Bracha.. Ideas shared by Machberes Avodas Hashem

Is life my enemy?

There never would be an end to people who need financial support.   Actually there some who feel that life is an enemy! "Evyon" and "Oyev" are related to each other. There are people who when suffering feel or experience life as being an enemy, (Evyon).  We can pray to not experience the world as an enemy in " Vilamalshinim Al Tihee Tikvah .." The reason the prayer starts with " Vilamalshinim " is because the way we speak of our situation, is going to determine how we experience a situation.  Ideas shared by Machberes Avodas Hashem

"Open my Lips" (Parnassa Prayer)

Are there times that you have gone through without making a “deal”? When a deal happens do you say, “finally”? Or .. Do you say, “Ok, this is good!  Now I am alive!  I am moving..? Does it give you that little kicker? That is Zerizus..(Opportunity Maximizing) It is the gift of Zerizus. That's a gift of “Ado-nai. Sifasai Tiftach”.   It is a wonderful way to pray for somebody for Parnassa.. Ideas shared from Machberes Avodas Hashem
