  A Kavana for Vilamalshinim (Can be used anywhere one would daven for Israel) As a gift given to me, I began to see the light generated by each person who makes Aliyah as a powerful protection against enemies of Israel. Combined, all this light can shield Israel from harm. When making Aliyah, people are often giving up many things they love and are used to. People are asked to adjust to different lifestyle, different culture, different school systems, and different health systems.  There never would be an end to people who need financial support.   Actually there some who feel that life is an enemy! Devarim, 15:11  כִּי לֹא יֶחְדַּל אֶבְיוֹן מִקֶּרֶב הָאָרֶץ עַל כֵּן אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ לֵאמֹר פָּתֹחַ תִּפְתַּח אֶת יָדְךָ לְאָחִיךָ לַעֲנִיֶּךָ וּלְאֶבְיֹנְךָ בְּאַרְצֶךָ. "Evyon" and "Oyev" are related to each other. There are people who when suffering feel or experience life as being an enemy, (Evyon).  We can pray to not experience the world as an enemy in " Vilamalshinim Al Tihee Tikvah .." The reason the prayer starts with " Vilamalshinim " is because the way we speak of our situation, is going to determine how we experience a situation.  Ideas shared by Machberes Avodas Hashem
